Thanks Army Mom. Great job with our new LAPP blog.
Today is July 4th, 2006 and I am sad to say we are not any closer to ending this war. At least they are now arguing about it in congress, but it looks like the politics will make ending the war a game of gotcha. Cut and Run, Stay the Course, Stand down when the stand up. Slogans that keep the killing going. As reprehensible as it sounds, to burn the flag would fully express the utter disgust I have with our country right now. I love what our country is supposed to stand for, but right now it has become the anti-america, the ugly america, the dishonorable are prevailing. We still have partriots working to right the wrongs of the Bush administration. But we are powerless to make change when so many who oppose this cabal are not being heard and so many folks just don't want to know. In my petitioning for our peace candidate, I have come upon many people who do not vote. I have come across many people who are misinformed or uninformed. It saddens me to know that the leaders elected by this neglect have broken our county and I fear it will not be reparable.
I do go on.... Thanks again for giving our new group a home on the blogs.
